I don’t need the ultrasound this afternoon to tell me the baby didn’t turn this week. She feels even more sideways than before.
I’m nervous. And scared. About the inevitable attempts to forcibly turn her, when and where it will happen, the possible side effects, what will happen if that doesn’t work, how quickly this all goes down.
At least labour and delivery I know. And it’s exciting to anticipate. Right now, everything is unknown and I physically could not deliver this baby the way she is.
Now we just wait and see.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Hang in there kiddo. We will keep our fingers crossed that she points in the right direction soon.
Try not to worry too much, some kids are stubborn. Lexy turned at 30 weeks and remained head down, but Caity didn’t turn until about 36.5 weeks (I had her at 38 – two weeks early). All of a sudden one day I had difficulty walking up the stairs and it was because her head was suddenly in place. Caity’s the same to this day, you can’t pressure her to do things, she takes her sweet time and Lexy’s always in a hurry to get something done… go figure… hang in there, you’re almost at the finish line …
Hey Carly, as a previous c-section survivor, I will tell you that if it comes to that, it is not the end of the world…. Just a bit longer recovery than regular birth… In my opinion as long as you have a healthy baby, it doesn’t matter how she gets into the world… Good luck with whatever they decide to tell you today. I can feel your pain with her being sideways… Mya was only like that for 1 day and it was painful, and uncomfortable as all get out… Keep us posted…
Have you tried chiropractics yet? That worked for me for two of my kids!
My OB said that later babies tend to turn head-downward later than first babies do, so try not to get too worried about it. Hopefully your little one will flip about soon.
