Like a good Canadian, I’m writing a strongly-worded letter

13th February 2008

Dear Old Man Winter and your giant buckets of snow that are ruining my love of pleasure shoveling and causing me to wonder if you are the same as those men with small willies who drive big trucks to overcompensate but you do it instead with said buckets of snow that I am so sick of looking at and moving around and wearing boots to prevent making my feet wet and cold and hello have you ever spent four solid months shoving toddler feet into boots you sadist:

I am usually the very first to curse winter but for some odd reason, I’m actually enjoying it this year… I know. I’m weird.

Wow, Brenda, those pics are awesome! When we lived in Ajax, you could walk the boardwalk down in Rotary Park and see some pretty amazing ice creations in winter.

In the Boonies, the only water is the local pond. The Lions Club used to put a busted up old van on the ice and sell tickets to guess when it fell through. Don’t know why they stopped. Now the ice is graced with flags that show if it’s thick enough to skate on.

And Cheryl — I KNEW you would appreciate that pic more than anyone!!
