My American webby friend Kathi realized there are no superior products to those made in Canada, and bought some hip Mabel’s Labels for son’s stuff. Here’s what she had to say about them:

I was looking around for a way to permanently label my son’s sippy cups for daycare. I knew a permanent marker would eventually fade and regular sticker-type labels aren’t waterproof and when they come off, the cups get all sticky.

I found Mabel’s Labels online: they sell dishwasher-safe sticker labels in either the classic size or the skinny-mini. I ordered the skinny-minis which came with 80 in one pack. You get to pick the color and font and an optional icon (I picked a firetruck).

I’ve been using these labels almost a month on regular sippy cups and they are awesome! They don’t peel at all and make Jacob’s cups instantly recognizable (and cute!). I would highly recommend these labels for sippy cups, books, toys, pretty much anything you want your kid’s name on.

They have some other cool products I haven’t tried yet but would like to. The customer service was fantastic as well.

I’ve seen these babies around, and think they are so cool. They even make allergy alerts, bag tags and shoe labels! My favourites, however, are the household labels: cannisters, crafts, cords oh my! The online ordering/cutomizing looks super easy.

And absolute best of all: good ol’ Canadian made, with prices in Canadian dollars. Gotta love that.
