6th November 2006

s1. Meet mom friend for walk along lake at 9 a.m. Stupidly booked this on a very busy day.

2. Clean out fridge to find whatever has crawled inside and died, sending nose-scrunching fumes wafting through house.

3. Put away baby clothes Lucy has outgrown. They are overflowing at the bottom of her crib in empty diaper boxes. Packing cases bought on Friday for this are still sitting in middle of hallway downstairs (oddly, the lids have a silhouette of a baby inside the bin with a heavy red slash-circle meaning DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. Dare I wonder what happened to cause the manufacturer to do this?).

4. Take Lucy to the doctor at 2:45 p.m. for a well baby check-up. On the agenda: does she ever stop eating? How much is too much? When can I stop peeling fruit already? Also: does she outweigh the Michelin Tire Baby yet?

5. Possibly dye hair, if time (ha!) as roots are starting to scare the baby.

6. Finish freezing cooked baby food from yesterday, currently sitting in mushy piles in the fridge.

7. Try not to think about Eric out late, leaving you and Lucy together for 12.5 hours.
