-this is one of my most favourite pics of Lucy. Taken at the Port Perry waterfront last Thursday
-apologies for the lack of post yesterday. Lucy kicked our asses early Monday morning by being awake from 4-7 a.m. after rolling and rolling and rolling and finally angrifying herself into no sleep
-I’m also convinced Lucy is teething: she’s been gnawing on her toys, smacking her tongue, chewing on her fingers, and yesterday she deliberately bit me (that means my BOOB, people!) for the first time. This might be contributing to the sleep issues, too. Perhaps? Maybe? Possibly? Who knows — parenting is like the most annoyingly frustrating guessing game ever
-my living room looks empty without the swing
-Lucy’s Gramie bought her this great umbrella stroller I picked out, but we struggled walking with it because of the low handle. You’d kick the back wheels and bar if walking normally, so it would force you to hunch over or walk at the side. I saw a neat one at Zellers, but they didn’t have it in, so we got the most perfect light-weight stroller ever for the same price (ours is bright red). Eric and I fight over who gets to push it. He calls it the go-kart
-Lucy now loves the exercauser, playing in it for up to an hour. This is awesome and a relief as she’s starting to *gasp* grow out of her bouncy chair. I’d call it perfect if the exercauser wasn’t so damn big and cumbersome to move around
-I really want one of these. Then one like this for Spencer Dog
-did you hear how quiet it was around here, except for the occasional screaming? Well, it was TOO quiet for Lucy, who now BANG-BANG-BANGS! her toys. Right now this is still a funny novelty, and we encourage her with clapping and head rocking to her spastic beats. How much longer, you think, until we invest in ear plugs?
-we went swimming last week at Jen’s mom’s house. Eirinn taught Lucy how to
splash. They both spent most of the time eating the plastic handles on the floaters
-tomorrow is Eric and I’s three-year wedding anniversary. Nana is babysitting! Is it bad that I might (*ahem, cough*) use the child tax benefit cheque to buy his present?

I feel your pain with the biting, Mya bit me so hard last week, it brought me to tears…. I think she is teething again too… I also think I am weaning her ASAP!!
