Surprise!

Yeah, you all got me.
A big lovey thanks to my friends and family (especially Shannon) who converged on my house Saturday morning and afternoon and threw me a wonderful baby shower! I really was showered with love and attention and fun and gifts.
And a public apology to Eric, who was in charge of keeping me out of the house when I so desperately wanted to be home nesting (painting, laundry, Christmas lights and cleaning were waiting!).
I was a grumpy girl the majority of the time, and could not figure out why my husband — normally a hater of weekend shopping and true homebody — had to go to Home Depot, and Zellers and get gas and the bank when we could have done it all the day before.
He finally hauled my angry butt home a half hour ahead of schedule because I could not be kept out any longer, lest be killed by him. Luckily a lot of the guests were there to see me promptly burst into embarrased, startled, horomonal, pregnant, happy tears.
It’s comforting to know my baby girl has such a wonderful group waiting for her to be born into.
