Snap, Crackle, Pop

Turning over in bed is not easy any more.
For one, it’s not turning, it’s heaving from one side to another, in stages. First, move the pillow from under the belly to the other side. Second, lurch onto back. Third, lurch onto other side. Fourth, shove flung pillow under other side of belly.
Eric is normally oblivious to this set of actions, although Spencer is usually kind enough to look up from his kennel ACROSS THE ROOM to make sure I survive.
But last night, something in my sleep-filled brain decided to forget the body it was attached to was impregnated, and I attempted to turn over as if there wasn’t a 2 lb. baby and fluid and fat and enlarged boobs attached to my front.
*crack*
Yes, the bones and ligaments under my belly made an audible snap.
I yelled, "Ouch!"
Spencer looked up.
Eric slept on.
